The Examination of John Jones< no role >
charged with Felony by William Hall< no role >
of the Parish of Saint James in the City
[..] and Liberty of Westminster
; and taken before me Nicholas Bond< no role > Esquire
one of his MAJESTY'S Justices of the Peace for the said
City and Liberty County of Middlesex , this 29th.. Day of April
17 86 .

Who saith that he is about Twenty Years of Age,
that he lodges at No 1 Sun Alley in Gaub Street and deals in
Old Cloaths - that he hath known Charles Johnson< no role > now present
about Six Months - that he hath known Henry Lee< no role > alias Levi< no role >
now present from his Childhood - that he is a Taylor by hade
and that his Mother Keeps a Publick House in Shire Lane
Temple Bar - that as he was taking a Walk near Marybone ,
a Man, whom he never saw before, asked him to carry
the Barket of Linen that he afterwards met said Johnson
who said he would assist him to carry it over the Water
that he never saw Lee till he was brought back.
