This Informant upon his Oath saith that he
is a Watchman for the District of Union Court
and Bleeding
Heart Yard
in the Liberty of Saffron Hill Hatton Garden and
Ely rents
in the Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn
in the said County
That about the hour of Four of the Clock in the Morning of Sunday
the Fifth day of February instant this Informant found the
Cellar Window of the House of Mrs. Isabella Chapman< no role >
in Union
Court
aforesaid was broke open and at the same time saw
a light thro' the Shutters upon which this Informant went to
the House Door in order to inform the People of the House
and on Striking against the door with his Stick he found
that open likewise this Informant then went into the House
and endeavoured to get into the Yard as he heard some Persons
getting away he then went up the Stairs and called the
People of the House up and the [..]
maid Servant
and
one Edward Mason< no role >
a Lodger then came down they then
went into the Yard and the maid Servant picked up Three
Silver Tea Spoons Three Six pences and some halfpence which
the Persons had dropt in getting away and which this
Informant believes were the Property of the said Isabella

This Informant with one Thomas Mc. Lern< no role >

whom this Informant had called to his Assistance
and the said Edward Mason< no role >
then went to the next House
in order to search for the Persons who had broke the House
aforesaid open and in the Yard this Informant laid
