Hemlock Court Carey Street Lincolns Inn
fields Widow taken before me this 22nd. day of
March 1785 .

Who being on Oath says that on Saturday last about One o' Clock
She locked Her Shop door and went up Stairs, that in about 5
minutes she came down again found her Shop door open and a
Person now Present who calls himself George Crawford< no role > in the
Shop. that she saw said Crawford put two Oranges into his
right hand Coat Pocket, andchallenged him with having
Stolen them that he then took them out of his Pocket threw them amongst
others in the Window and said Damn you; you Bitch I don't want
Your Oranges without paying for them, That he then attempted
to Strike her, when she shut the Street door and sent for a Constable
and had him Secured
