Justices of the Peace in and for the Said
County of Middlesex this 3d. day of
January 1785

This Informant upon his oath saith
that on Saturday night being the 1st. of the
Instant January between the hours of five [..]
Six he heard the Shop window break of Mr. Peter
Bond< no role > of St. Martin le grand in the City and
Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex
Mans Mercer upon which he this Said Informant
ranoutimmediately being them in [..] St. Martins
Le grand aforesaid to the Shop window of the
said Peter Bard< no role > and there saw a man who
says his Name is Joseph Jeffs< no role > to he fromant
of the said Window and so broken a piece of
flowered velveret as he verily believes the
property of the said Peter Band< no role > , & his
partner Stephen Smith< no role >
