and was desired by Mr. Goodridge to be as Expeditions
as possible in doing the Same & to be sure of which
desired I wod. come and do it in his Workshop in the
Fleet Market at 8 oClock that Night he having
a room therein which Dept. Accordg. did but did not
finish the same that Night but did on the Ensuing
at the same Place; And to this Depts. best recoll=
=cation the next Night was Appointed to Execute the
same wch this Dept. thinks might be between the 20th. &
25th. of Jany. 1783 that this Dept. Mett by the direction
of sd. Goodridge at the House of Mr. Evans Abt. 7 oClock
in the Eveg. and there for the first time see Mr. Leonard
Goodridge

went to Mr. Sawtels to get up & was Desired that £
Goodridge, Evan's & Self were to be at Mr. Sawtels
house abt. ¼ before 12 oClock that Eveg. we all Accordg.
went & was Let in as usual by N. Goodridge who
informed us Ned meaning Edward Price< no role > the sergant of Mr. Sawtell was fast a Sleet as he & Ned had
2 or 3 Potts of Beer Extraordy that presently After we
were so let in N Goodridge having Once or Twice been
up Stairs we were desired to full offorn Shoes &
come wh with him when he wod. get the Old man
to Make his Mark and for which he Took a pen and
Ink wh with him sd. N. Goodridge took the pretend'd
will with him & desired we wod. stand at the foot of
the Bed when he sd. N. Goodridge put the pen
into Mr. Sawtels hand and guided it to make Two
Marks the one to the first Sheet & the other to the
second, and which pretend A Will was first sealed
with the Seal that was to the Gold Watch in the
