Middlesex


These are to Certify that at the Delivery of the Kings Gaol of
Newgate holden for the County of Middlesex at Justice hall in the Old
Bailey in the Suburbs of the City of London on Wednesday the twenty fifth
day of February in the twenty fourth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord
George the third King of Great Britain Etc. Before Robert Peckham< no role > Esquire Mayor
of the City of London James Adair< no role > one of his Majesty's Serjeants at Law Recorder
of the said City and others their fellows Justices of our said Lord the King
assigned to deliver the said Gaol of Newgate of the prisoners therein being
Rebecca Bidwell< no role > of the age ofyears, Margaret Moring< no role > of
the age ofyears, Eleanor Mc. Cabe of the age of
years and Ann Sherlock< no role > of the age ofyears who were at the
Delivery of the Kings said Gaol of Newgate holden for the County of Middlesex
aforesaid at Justice hall aforesaid on Wednesday the day of
December last Convicted of several felonies for which they were by Law liable to
suffer Death without benefit of Clergy unto whom his Majesty hath since
seen graciously pleased to extend his Royal Mercy on Condition of their being
imprisoned and kept to hard Labour in the House of Correction for the term of
twelve Calendar Months respectively were pursuant to his Majesty's pleasure
notified in Writing to the Court first abovementioned by The Right Honourable
Thomas Townsend< no role > Lord Sydney one of his Majesty's principal Secretaries of
State severally Ordered and Adjudged to be imprisoned and kept to hard Labour
in the House of Correction at Clerkenwell for the said term of twelve Calendar Month
pursuant to the Statute in such case made and provided Dated this eighth
day of March in the year of our Lord 1784.
