one of his MAJESTY'S Justices of the Peace for the
County of Middlesex , this 24th. Day of May

Who saith that he remembers being in the House of
Thomas Arnold< no role > the two Blue Posts Alehouse in Cock pit
Alley in the said County between the hours of four and
five oClock in the morning of Monday the 5th. of May
instant when the said William Clay< no role > said he had Lost
his Watch-That he was a Lodger in said House at
that time and was assisting the Land lord, but did
not Steal the said William Clays Watch nor doth
he know who did
