me John Staples< no role > Esquire one of His Majestys
Justices of the Peace in and for the said
County

Who being upon Oath say and first the said John
Hatch
< no role > for himself saith that he Rents and lives in a
House in Spicer Street in the Hamlet of Mile End new
Town that he lives on the Ground Floor, lets out the
one Pair of Stairs to Lodgers and Occupies the two pair
of Stairs as his Shop, That about half an Hour afterSix
Eight of the Clock on the Evening of the Sixth day of
Mach Instant being Eating his Supper with the rest
of his Family in his Kitchen, he heard a Noise at
his Shop Door up Stairsand suspecting some person
was breaking In he went up Stairs and endeavoured
to open his sd. Shop door but could not and on looking
into the Key hole saw a Key in the Inside and
which was soon after taken outThat he this Informant
got Assistance and with his own Key opened the
Door of his said Shop, and in his Garrett over
the said Shop he found the person now present
who calls himself Robt. Cullum< no role > Standing behind
the Door and thatandhe believes the said Robert Cullum< no role >
Did Burglariously enter his said House with
