Justices of the Peace in and for the said County of fourth
day of September 1782
This Informant on his Oath Saith That on the Thirteenth day
of August last about Nine O'Clock at Night as this Informant
was rideing on the Box of the Newington Stage in his day that [..]
Newington he was Stopped between the Kinghead and the To [..]
five footpads Armed with Cutlasses who robbed him of bel [..]
three and four Pounds in money And further Saith that he
verily believes that Joseph Caddie< no role >
and John Stunnel now under
Examination with William Milburn< no role >
are the persons who so
stopped and robbed him by reason that the said Joseph Caddie< no role >
and John Stunnel< no role >
and William Milburn< no role >
have Confessed to
this Informant that they were the persons who so robbed
him

And this Informant Robert Ratford on his Oath Saith
That on the thirteenth day of [..] August [..] about Nine
o'Clock at Night as this Informant was riding in the
Newinton Stage in his way to Newington
he was stopped
between the Kingshead and the Fox in Kingsland road
by some
Footpads (he being the Driver of the said Stage) and was
Robbed by them of between two and three pounds in money
And further Saith that he verily believes that Joseph

and John Stunnel now under Examination with
William Milburn< no role >
are the persons who so stopped and
Robbed him by reasonbythat the said Joseph Coddie< no role >
and John Stunnel< no role >
and William Milburn< no role >
have Confessed
to this Informant that they were the persons who so robbed
