The Information of Ralph Clay< no role > taken before
us this 13th. day of May 1782

Who being upon Oath says that on Saturday Evening
last a little past 8 o'Clock saw a person now present who calls
himself Christopher Welch< no role > [..] in the Gutter on the Warehouse
belonging to this Informant in Wells Yard carrying a piece of
Lead now produced which had been ripped off & Stolen from the
said Gutter, that the said Christopher Welch< no role > asked this Informant
some Questions to prevent his being suspected to be a Thief and
said he was at Work there, that this Informant afterwards
took the said Christopher Welch< no role > into Custody in the said Gutter
and there [..] that he had ripped off another piece of Lead
from the [..] place [..] to carry to away
