taken before me this 3rd. day of May 1782
Who being upon Oath say, and first the said Andrew Burnet< no role >
says that about half past 8 oClock last Night the said Thomas Haines< no role >
came
into this Informants House and told him that he had seen two Men come out
of his Yard with a Table, which he supposed to be hisThat he immediately
went with said Haines in pursuit of said Men and apprehended a
person now present who calls himself William Brookes< no role >
in Blackamoor
Street (about two hundred Yards from this Informants House) who then
had [..] a Mahogany Table this Informants property upon his back,
on which he took the said Table from him and put it into his House
again where it now isAnd the said Thomas Haines< no role >
says that about
half past 8 oClock last Night as he was going thro' the said Andrew Burnets Yard
he saw the said William Brookes< no role >
in company with another Man who
were hesitating which should carry the said Table away, when at
last the said Brookes got it on his Back and went on with it,
on which he immediately acquainted the said Andrew Burnet< no role >
of the
same and assisted him in apprehending said Brookes and
recovering his Table as aforesaid
