Who being upon Oath say, and first the said Samuel Stephens< no role >
says, that about ten o'Clock at Night on the 7th. day of December last
a Blue Box Coat now produced was stolen from off his Coach box
near Drury Lane
TheatreThat he Yesterday saw the said Great Coat
upon the back of a person now present who calls himself William
Townsend< no role >
in Oxford Street
And the said William Townsend< no role >
says
that about three Weeks ago he bought the said Coat of a Person
now present who calls himself Richard Spencer< no role >
at a house
next the Kings [..] Arms in Newtoners Lane
and paid him
fifteen shillings and six pence in Money and five pence half penny in Liquor
for the same And the said Thomas O'Hara says, that he was
present at the time the said William Townsend< no role >
bought the said
Great Coat as aforesaid and saw him pay half a Guinea
in part of payment for the same
