before me this 18th. day of October 1775
Who being upon Oath say and first the said Thomas Quaintance< no role >
for
himself says that last Friday Evening about six o'Clock he was robbed
of one pound five Shillings andthreenine pence farthing and a green
Silk Purse by two Footpads between the 4 & 5 Mile Stones on the
Edgeware Road
, that he is very certain that a person now present
who calls himself William Wenter< no role >
is one of the persons who robbed
him as above mentioned and that two Pistols now produced are the
same Pistols which the said William Wenter presented to this
Informant, and the Said Edward Turner< no role >
for himself says that on
the said Friday Evening he having heard of Robbery being committed
on the Edgeware Road
by two Footpads went with some other Persons
and apprehended John Maguire< no role >
now present and the Said William
Wenter< no role >
about half an hour Past 8 o'Clock near the place where the
said Thomas Quaintance< no role >
says he was robbed, and that the next
day he went with some other Persons to search near the place
where the said John Maguire< no role >
and William Wenter were apprehended
and there found one of the Said Pistols now produced, and the
said William Barnett< no role >
for himself that he was present last Saturday
Morning with the Said Edward Turner< no role >
and others on the Edgeware
Road
and there found the other of the said Pistols now produced
near the place where he was told the said John Maguire< no role >
and
William Wenter were apprehended.
