Oath and Saith that he this Deponent and one Richard Finch< no role >
were severally bound in Recognizance before George Wrighte< no role >
Esquire
one of his Majestys Justices of the peace
for the said
County of Prosecute and give Evidence against John Pyke< no role >
for
Feloniously Stealing one Bank Note of the Value of ten Pounds
the property of this Deponent And this Deponent saith that in
May Session last he and the said Richard Finch< no role >
Attended
at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street
and there Preferred to
the Grand Jury of the said County a Bill of Indictment against
the said John Pyke< no role >
for the said Felony who returned the same to
be a true Bill And this Deponent Saith that before the said May
Session began he this Deponent had been informed that the said
John Pyke< no role >
had made his Escape from the Constable who was
Conveying him from the said Magistrates to Prison And this
Deponent Saith that he hath made inquiry and used his
endeavours to find the said prisoner and have him Apprehended
for the said Felony but hath not as yet heard any thing of him
And this Deponent further Saith that if he should hear and find
where the said prisoner John Pyke< no role >
may be taken he will
still use his utmost endeavours to have him Apprehended and
Tried on the said Indictment for the said Offence therefore this
Deponent humbly Prays this Honourable Court will be pleased
to Order his said Recognizance to be Discharged
