this 14th: day of April in the year of our Lord 1775
Who saith that on Thursday the Sixth day of April instant or in
the Morning of Friday the Seventh about two in the Morning he
this informant together with one William Kirk< no role >
went to the
Callico Grounds of Mr Hatcher at Wandsworth
in the County of
Surrey
CallicoGroundsPrinter and went over some Pales and from
thence into the Grand and took from thencefourthree pieces of
Muslin and one piece of Linen and afterwards hid two
pieces of the said Muslin and the said piece of Linen in a field
near the three Goals Head in there Road to London and one
of the said pieces of Muslin they brought to Town with them
Saith that soon after they had taken the said pieces of Muslin
and Linen out of they Ground they met one Mary Lucas< no role >
(whom they left at Putney
in there way to wandsworth
whowentcame with him this informant and the said William
Kirk< no role >
to an Ale House near Westminster Bridge
and drank
some Purl there and from thence went to a place called
the Ambury inat
westminster
and there sold the piece of
Muslin they brought to Town with them to two young
Men and a Woman big with Child for thirteeneighteenshillings
being at the Rate of one shilling per yard saith thatthe time
it was about eleven o'Clock in the Morning when they sold
it Saith that in the Dusk of the evening of the same day
he this informant the said William Kirk< no role >
and Mary Lucas< no role >
went to the said Field and brought away the said three
pieces of Muslin they left therein in the Morning andthen
came to back to westminster
next Morning and carried and
