Justices of the Peace for the said
County City and Liberty
Who being upon Oath saith that he is a Watchman
in Brownlow Street
in the Parish of Saint Giles in the
fields
that between one & two oClock on Tuesday Morng
last he met in the Person now present who calls [..]
herself Jane Kelly< no role >
in Old Bolton Street
who
Complained to this Informant that she was locked out of
her Lodgings & bagged this Informant would let her sit
in his Watch Box to which he consented and went along
with her that upon being therein together some familiarly
passed between them when this Informant had his
Breeches Pocket Picked of an Old Leather Glove containg
therein One Guinea & a half in Gold that this Informt
is very certain that the said Glove with the Gold therein
was in his Pocket when he went into his Watch,
Box with the said Jane Kelly and that he missed
the same presently after she was gone which was
in about ten Minutes she the pretending to be in a
great hurry to get away & that [..] no other person
whatsoever was near this Informant during the
said time
