The Information of John Belomew< no role >

Who on his Oath saith that on Saturday
the 30th. of January last he was sent by Justice
Sherwood in order to Detent one Joseph Peddock< no role >
upon an Information of Coining and being Assured the
said Piddock could be treated with in regard to selling
bad half Guineas and other Monies at the White Lyon
in Red Lyon Street White Chapel , Accordingly this
Informant, and Joseph Grove< no role > went to the said
White Lyon and sent for the said Joseph Piddock< no role >
who came to this Informant, [..] on which Grove
told the said Piddock that he this Informant
was a Country Farmer, and came to London twice
a Week at least and that he wanted one of his
Guineas for a Quarter of Guinea, the said
Piddock said he would not sell less then two
Guineas worth, this Informant then say he
would take two Guineas worth, Accordingly the said
Piddock went out of the White Lyon as aforesaid
to bring two Guineas worth of Counterfiet Gold, and
this Informant waited his return, the said Piddock
did return in about three Quarters of an hour
or thereabout, and Called this Informant into a
back room, and the said Piddock them Lay'd
down upon the Table in a piece of Crown paper
four pieces resembling Guineas, and as Many half
and Quarter Guineas, which Amounted to Eight
Guineas of base & Counterfeit Mettal, the said Joseph
Groves
