That this Informant knowing where the said
John Yates< no role > Lodged went the Next Morning to
Enquire how he Did when he was Informed by
the said John Yates< no role > that he had his Pocket
picked in the said House of Seven Shillings
in Silver and a Bad five Shilling & three pence
upon which he told him he would endeavour to
find out the Woman whom he supposed had
taken it And this Informant further saith
that the Reason of his suspecting the person
now present as he calls herself Elizabeth Sims< no role >
was from a Boy who happened to be in the said
House on the Tuesday Night having declared that
at the time the other Informant was ill he saw
the said Elizabeth Sims< no role > [..] about the
Person of the said John Yates< no role > and saw her have
some Silver & some thing like Gold in her hand
And this Informant further saith that the said
Elizabeth Sims< no role > did not come into the House
with the said John Yates< no role > nor was she of his
Company but this Informant verily believes
that the said Elizabeth Sims< no role > Paid one Shilling
for the Run and Water And this Informant
further saith that upon being Informed by the
other Informant that his Pocket had been picked
he went after the said Elizabeth Sims< no role > & met with
her on Wednesday last in the afternoon when he
taxed her with having picked the other Informant
Pocket and advised her to restore the Money
and that he would endeavour to get the matter made
up to which the said Elizabeth Sims< no role > made [..]
that she had only three Shillings & Six pence &
the Bad five Shillings & three pence of the said
John Yates< no role > and gave this Informant is bad five
Shilling & three Pence which this Informant
returned to the said John Yates< no role > last Night and
which he believes, to be the same now produced
