John Gray< no role > in his own proper handwriting which she
well knows she having received several Letters from
him

And this Informant further saith that about a Week
ago she saw one Mr. Ward who was Clerk to the same Mr.
Jacobs and who Inform'd the said Mary Jackson< no role > that
the said Mr. Jacobs had received a forty pound Note
payable to this Informant and that the said Mr.
Jacobs had Indosed his own Name thereupon
and had paid the said Note away to One William
Dawson
< no role > a Broker in Castle Street for Money and Go [..]
Sold deliver'd & Advanced to the said Mr. Jacobs
by the said Wm. Dawson< no role > upon which this
Informt. sent her present Attorney [..] Mr Barrow
to Enquire into the Truth of this of Mr Dawson
the said Mr. Barrow brought backword to this
Informt. that he had seen the said Note in the
hands of sd. Mr. Dawson and that her Mark being
the Mark of her Name had been Indosed on the
back of the said Note and which said Mark being
the Mark of her Name so Indosed on the said Note
[..] she having since seen the said Note is
a false forged & Counterfeit Indorsment of her Mark
and Nameand with

And this Informant upon her said Oath Declareth and
saith that she verily believes and Suspects that the
said forged Indorsment of her mark purporting to
be the Signature of her Name upon the back of the said
Note was done by the said Mr. Jacobs in the
own proper hand Writing and without the
knowledge Consent privity Approbation or direction
