The Information of John Willcocks< no role > taken on Oath
before us of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the said County this 11th. day of May 1773

Who saith that on Thursday night last the Sixth instant
about ten o' Clock at night being in Marlborough Court
in Petticoat Lane White Chapel he saw three Men
coming towards him with a Box and then the said
three Men went into a RoomSaith that he went
towards the Room or place where the said three men
went in and look'd [..] three a crivice or hole
and saw one of the said Men leaning over the Box
and another of them with something which he took to
be a GownSaith that he then went to one Smith
mayland
< no role > and others and acquainted them of what he
had seen who came with him to the Room where the
said three men went in and then he this Informant and
the said Smith Mayland< no role > and the others Pushed open
the Door and rush'd into the Room and there he saw
the said three Men and the things that were in the
Box laid on the Floor saith that there was a Woman
and a Man who has as since heard goes by the name of the Bear
Examing the things taken out of the said Boxthatsaith
that he believes the said may called Bear was about to buy them: Saith that then Smith
and one Files Seized and tied two of the Men together and that the
other Man get awayandbut before they went away they
discovered him to be got up a Chimney in the room and
[..] that Smith pulled him down from thence
saith that then He Smith Mayland Files and the other
