Be it Remembered-that on this 29th.
Day of November in the 13th. Year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Torch King George the 3rd. and in the year of
our Lord 1772 at the Parish of Saint Anns in the said
County before me John Cox< no role > Esquire One of his
Majestys Justices of the peace in and for the said
County William Banister< no role > of Rathbone place , in the
Parish of Saint Maryle Bone Labourer Cometh in
his proper persons and new here giveth me the said
Justice Information and Intelligence that, John
Powell
< no role > of Goodge, Street Saint [..] Baker
Dicton this 27th. Day of November and within twenty
four hours after the Baking thereof expose, to Sale &
Sell two Soaves of Wheaton Bread Importing to be Quartem
Soaves deficient in weigh has follows Vizt. One Loaf
2 Ounces and half and the Loaf 2 Ounces
According to the As size, the [..] there set for the said
Breach Contrary to the Statute in such Case made a not
provided Whereby the said John Poweth hath
for fieted a Sorn, not exceeding five Shillings nor less
then One Shilling for each and every Ounce, so deficient
in Weight all which the said William Banister< no role > is
Ready to prove, beforeme the said Justice, On the Oath
of a Credible Witness, Wherefore, the said William
Bomister prays the Judgment of me the said Justice
and that I will proceed thereupon According to Lane
and that the said John Powell< no role > may be Simmonds
to Appear before me to Answer the Premisses and
make his Defence, thereto
