Gentleman Bans went to See him.
The Supposed Merchant Said to Them, that
They Shou'd come with me Peter Lantier< no role > , &
that he wou'd pay me at 12 o'Clock,
without giving us Thethetrouble to go to his
Bank.

Monday we went to him to be pay'd according
to his promise (always and went to The little Jew
not Knowing [mark] other Hour [mark] ) after a long Waiting
a Woman Came to open The Door,& Said
to us that The Gentleman had been obliged
to go out, & gave us a Note of Hand, that
the Gentleman had left for us, I look it
not knowing not better, thinking it was very
good. She Said to us, to go & See him at his Bank
& that any body wou'd tell us we went many times
whose Soho [..] Said but no body knew that Merchant
that Banker & I believe [mark] now no body wud find it
for my Misfortune [mark] I think his Bank is imaginary
we went many time to his House, but without &
purpose, this what make us [..] believe
that his Note of Hand [..] no better
than they are those [..]
