taken before me One of his
Majestys Justices of the Peace
for
the said County
Who being upon Oath saith that on Sunday
Night last he Picked up a Person now Present
who calls herself Mary Jeffery< no role >
and went home
with her to her Lodgings in Saint Giles's
and Undressed himself & went to Bed with her
& land his Breeches under the Bolster on the
left side of the Bed & in his Breeches [..]
Pockets
were contained in Gold & Silver between
four & five pounds & he went to sleep & when
he awaked he found he his Breeches removed
to the right hand of the Bed on which side the
said Mary Jefferys< no role >
lay the Money was all
taken out of his Breeches Pocket & the said Mary
Jeffery< no role >
had left him Upon which this Informt
went to the two Browers in High Street
Saint Giles & there found the said Mary Jefferys< no role >
& Charged her with the Robbery which she at first
denied but afterwards confessed it returned
two Guineas & two half Guineas part of the said
Money
