Who being upon Oath say and first the said Herman Wright< no role >

himself says that he lives in the Strand
that on Sunday the
3rd. day of March Instant he went out about 3 o'Clock in the
Afternoon having no person at home but his Maid Servant

and his Apprentice
to
Richard Powel< no role >
, that
he returned about 7 o'Clock and found that his house had been
on fire, that it appeared the fire had begun under the Kitchen
Stairs where there was some Wood, that when he went out
there was a Quantity of Straw in a Basket in the Parlour
and that when he returned a considerable part of the Said
Straw had been taken away and the said Hannah Twiddy for
herself says that on the said Sunday afternoona little pastabout 4
o'Clock she went out from her Master's the said Herman Wright< no role >

and left no person in the house except the Said Richard Powel< no role >
that she returned a little after 5 o'Clock and found that her Said
Master's house had been on fire and that the Engines were then
playing, that the said house was not on fire when she went out
nor was there any unusual Appearance of Smoke or fire, and
the said George Gillion< no role >
for himself says that the lives at the
next door to the said Herman Wrights, that on the said
Sunday Afternoon about 4 o'Clock he perceived an unusual
Appearance of Smoke in his own house which he found came
