The Information of Simon Holbrook< no role >
Warehouse Keeper at the India House
taken before me this 18th. day of
November 1768

Who being upon Oath says that a Warehouse Rented by the Honble
United East India Company near Iron Gate hath lately been Robbed of a Quantity of
Tea the property of the said Company, and farther says that Williams
Wigmore
< no role > and George Decker< no role > the former living at Shad Thames
near Horsly Down Southwark , the lather in the Old Rope Walk
the back of Goulstons Square White Chapel being Watchmen belonging
to the Company and it being their Duty to Watch the aforesaid
Warehouse he hath Just cause to suspect that the said two
Watchmen may have been concerned in feloniously Stealing part
of the said Tea and that some part of it may be found concealed
in their Appartments
