The Information of Robt. Dent< no role > Esqr .
taken before me this 18th. day of Novr. 1768

Who being on Oath says that on Wednesday the 16: Instant a Person
who called himself Cary Emms< no role > published to this Informant at the
House of Robert Child< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. Esqr. near Temple Bar London [..]
a [..] Bill of Exchange now produced purporting to be the Bill of Robt.
Pigott< no role > for the Sum of Fifty pounds upon Esquire Child and Company
payable to the said Cary Emms< no role > or Order and which said Bill of Exchange
said Emms told this Informant he received from a Mrs. Barnett who
then Lodged in his House at the Green Canister in Phoenix Court
Lang acre and then shewed this Informt a Letter now produced
purporting to be a Letter to Mrs. Barnett from Robt. Pigott< no role > dated
Novr. 14: 1768 with the aforesaid Draft annexed to its and their Informt.
further says that he does verily believe that the aforesaid Bill of
Exchange is falsly made Forged and Counterfeited and that it
was Published knowing it to be so with Intent to Defraud this
Informant and his other Partners, and farther says that the said
Cary Emms< no role > also on the 2d. of Novr. last published to this Informant
as true another Bill of Exchange now produced purporting to be the
Bill of the said Robt. Pigott< no role > for £50 payable to the said Cary
Emms< no role > or Order and says he paid the last mentioned sum of
£50 and verily believes the said last described Bill also to be
falsely made Forged and Counterfeited and that it was published
knowing it to be so with Intent to Defraud as aforesaid and
this Informant further Says that he does suspect and verily believe that
a person now present who calls herself Mary Barnet< no role > otherwise Wright
was concerned in the said Publications
