Pyments they shod. get Accordingly they did carry the Bags
which they had Stolen as above mentioned to the said Smiths
and he this Examinant Received two Guineas in Gold and a
Sevefive and three pence and three pence in half pence and
Eighteen pence in Silver, as his Share of what was given as
above for the Same

James Catness Cometh before me and on his Oath Saith that
Jonathan Forster< no role > Waterman having last his Boat and that the said Button
had taken it he went to Smiths to See for him and found him there
but first went into the Kitchen and Seeing two Bags of Pyments
intothe kitchen and Hudson and Mr Smiths Maid there he
took Notice of the Bags and Said 9, there Bags are first come
on Shore upon that Hudson said dont take any manner of
Notice Lets drink together, he declined to drink with the said
Hudson, and going out of the Room witt a View to get Assistance
Upon his Returning a Short time into the Room where the Bags
where they were gone and he found Willm. Dyke< no role > the Servant
of Mr Smith Shilling is the Room where he Saw the Bags
before, And upon his Returning from the Room where the Bags
where Removed from Mr. Smith came into the Room with
Number of Sailors and Ordered him and the said Forster out
of the Room and upon their declining to go out Mr Smith
and the Sailors beat them and turned them out of Doors
And Saith be believes that from the above Circumstances
