The Information of Mr. Thomas
Maude

Wm. Maude< no role > of Downing Street
Westminster taken before me
this 10th. day July 1764

Who being upon Oath says that on Saturday last a
Person now present who calls himself Archibald Nelson< no role > came
to the House of the aforesaid Messrs. Thomas< no role > and William May< no role > [..]
and there demanded Prize Money due to Francis Peters< no role > late
belonging to his Majesty's Sloop of War the Guadaloup and declared
himself to be said Francis Peters< no role > an aforesaid Certificated
for that purposes that he came against this day to this
Informant, and continued to declare himself to be the
said Francis Peters< no role > , and this Informant further says, that
soon afterwards two Persons now present who call [..]
themselves William Smith< no role > and Thomas [..] Hey< no role > coming
[..] to this Informant, told him, that they belonging to
the aforesaid Sloop the Guadaloup, they knew very well Francis
Peters
< no role > and that the Person then pretending to be Francis
Peters
< no role > was one Archibald Nelson< no role > , and farther says that on or
about the 13th.. of June last the said Archibald Nelson< no role >
applied to this Informant for Prize Money due to John Wallace< no role >
Boatswain of the said Sloop whom he then personaled, and
that in Consequence of his producing some false be its fields
to prove himself to be the said Wallace he obtained the Sum
of four pounds nine Shillings being due to the said Wallace for Prize Money
and gave a Receipt for the same in the said Wallaces Name
which Money was paid him by the above Mr. William Maude< no role >
