The Information of James Harman< no role > taken
before me one of his Majestys Justices of
the Peace for the said County

Who being upon Oath saith that a Person now present who
Calls himself Terrence Kane< no role > , and says that he is by
Profession a Milkman , brought to this Informant a
Piece of Solid Gold to offer to Sale in the Month of February last to this Informant,
and [..] this Informant questioning him how he came by
the said Piece of Gold the sd. Terrence told this Informt.
that he had bought it of a German Jew and paid him,
three Guineas for it And this Informant suspecting
that the said piece of Gold was Stolen Stopped it
and upon having an Essay made of it, it appears to
be of the Standard fineness of the Current Coin of this
Kingdom Called Guineas, And this Informant says that
applyed So Saunders Welch < no role > one of his Majesty's Justices
of the Peace for a Warrant to Apprehend the said Kane which
was granted but the Sd: Kane directly obsconded from
his habitation and upon inquiry this Informant was
told that the Sd: Kane was gone to Ireland and this
Informant says that the value of the said Peice of
Gold is about Three pounds five Shillings And this
Informant says that he verily believes that the said
Kane did not come by the Sd: peice of Gold honestly
