Scott on the fifth Day of September in the Year aforesaid being in an Open
Wherry on the River Thames
at King James's Stairs
in the Parish and
County aforesaid It so happened That the Stem of a Ship to the said Jurors
unknown which was then sailing up the said River accidentally casually
and by Misfortune hit the said

then and there received divers mortal Bruises in and upon
His Head Back and Body And Was then and there forced into the said
River, of which said, Mortal Bruises he the said

casually and by Misfortune Came to his Death
