AN INQUISITION indented, taken for our sovereign Lord the King, at The Parish
of Saint Botolph Aldgate in the County of
Middlesex , the Eighth Day of July in the Twenty fifth Year of the Reign of
our sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third , by the Grace of God, of Great-Britain, France, and
Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before Thomas Phillips< no role >
one of the Coroners of our said Lord the King for the said County, on View of the Body of
Sarah Price< no role > then and there lying dead, upon the Oath of
William Cuthill< no role > , John Dedman< no role > , John Brassett< no role > , Samuel Knightley< no role > , James Juce, Richard
Davis, Samuel Button< no role > , George Ashton< no role > , David Whitehead< no role > , John Pitt< no role > Brady Thomas Doyle< no role >
William Fletcher< no role > , Nicholas Bulling< no role > and William Barlow< no role >
good and lawful Men of the said County, duly chosen, and who being then and there duly
sworn and charged to inquire, for our said Lord the King, when, how, and by what Means, the
said Sarah Price< no role > came to her
Death, do, upon their Oath, say, That the said Sarah Price< no role > on the seventh Day of July in
the Year aforesaid being an Infant of the Age of Five Years or thereabouts And being in the
Kings Highway in the Parish and County aforesaid It so happened That a Dray wch was then and there drawing
by Two Horses towards Wapping then and there accidentally casually and by misfortune forced [..]
the said Sarah Price< no role > to the Ground And the Near Wheel thereof did then and there Pass
upon and over the Hand, Body, Legs and Arms of her the said Sarah Price< no role > By means whereof she the said Sarah Price< no role > did
then and there receive divers Mortal Bruises in and upon her said Head Body Legs and Arms
of which said Mortal Bruises she the said Sarah Price< no role > then and there instantly died And
so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do say That the said Sarah Price< no role > in
manner and by the means aforesaid accidentally, casually and by misfortune came to her Death
And That the said Near Wheel was the Cause of the Death of the said Sarah Price< no role > and
is of the Value of Twenty Shillings And the Property and in the Possession of John Phillips< no role >
and Co of the Parish of Saint George in the said County Brewers of their Assigns

IN WITNESS whereof, as well the said Coroner as the said William Cuthill< no role >
the Foreman of the said Jurors, on the Behalf of himself and the Rest of his said Fellows, in
their Presence, have, to this Inquisition, set their Hands and Seals, the Day and Year first
above written.
