Informations of Witnesses taken at theDwelling HouseLodge of
Clerkenwell Bridewell the sign of
in the Parish of St. James Clerkenwell in the County
of Middlesex on Saturdaythe Seventeenth day of
December 1785 . Before Edward Umfreville< no role > Esquire
one of his Majestys Coroners for the said County touching the
Death of John Edwards< no role > then and there lying
Dead as follow

Mary Parker< no role > a Prisoner and Nurse of the Sick Ward On her Oath Saith on
Tuesday ye Ninteenth instant. the deceased who had
been brought to the Prison the Sunday before came
up to Deponent in the Ward and complained to.
her of his Disorder he was troubled with which was
a Dropsy and that one of his Legs had burst and
Deponent thereupon put him to Bed and about
Six o Clock on the Wednesday Morning he began
to Change and about eleven OClock died of
the Dropsy before mentioned Although every Care
and attention Necessary was shewn to him.
