An Inquisition indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at the Dwelling House of Robert Hance< no role >
known by the Sign of the Mitre in the Parish of Saint Mary Islington in the County of Middlesex on Monday
the Nineteenth Day of Junein the Twenty Sixth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the
Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King, Defender of the Faith and so forth before Thomas Phillips< no role >
one of the Coroners of our said Lord the King for the said County on View of the Body of James Bennem
then and there lying Dead, upon the Oath of Nathaniel Berry< no role > . Samuel Fly< no role > , Edward Evans< no role > , John Pressy< no role >
James Spring< no role > all, Thomas Play fair, John Page< no role > , Adam Winlaw< no role > George Dyson< no role > , Mathew Blunt< no role >
Robert Older< no role > shaw, James Smith< no role > Joshia Lack< no role > Thomas Wood< no role > and Mark Calk< no role >

good and lawfull Men of the said County duly chosen and who being then and there duly Sworn and charged to inquire
for our said Lord the King when how and by what means the said James Bennam on
came to his Death, do upon their Oath say That the said James Bennam on the Seventieth day of June in
the Year aforesaid in the Parish aforesaid in the County aforesaid accidentally casually and by Misfortune
fell into a Certain River called the new River Situate in the Parish and County aforesaid and in the Waters
of the said River was then and there Suffocated and Drowned of which said Suffocation and Drowning
he the said James Bennem then and there Instantly died and so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath
aforesaid do say that the said James Bennem in manner and by the means aforesaid accidentally
Casually and by misfortune came to his Death and not otherwise To the knowledge of the said Jursors

In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner as the said Nathaniel Berry< no role >
the Foreman of the said Jurors on the Behalf of himself and the Rest of his said Fellows in their presence have to
this Inquisition set their Hands and Seals the Day Year and place first above Written.
