Middlesex .

Informations of Witnesses taken at the Dwelling House of
Benjamin Dawson< no role > the Sign of The Cheshire Cheese
in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes in the County of Middlesex on
Saturday the tenthDay of June 1786
Before Edward Umfreville< no role > Esquire one of his Majesty's Coroners
for the said County touching, the Death of Martha Brown< no role >
then and there lying Dead as follow

George Wood< no role > one of the Watchmen of the above
parish attending Survey Street Upon his Oath
Saith That. About half after twelve oClock last
Night as he was going his Rounds down Strand
Same he observed The Cloaths of a Woman laying
upon a Vouch near the waterside and Coling
further Saw a Boat near the Cause way and
something White lying there. and looking
further saw the Body of a Woman in the
Water. went for Assistance and took the Body
out of the Water. which was rather warm laid the Body on the Steps
and sent for Mr. Moore Junr. of Norfolk
Street. he came. and used all proper
methods to Recover her. without Effect.
