Informations of Witnesses taken at the Dwelling house of
Henry Crick< no role > the Sign of The Spread Eagle
Charle's Street in the Parish of St. Mary le bone in the County of Middlesex on
Fridaythe nineteenth day of178
Before Edward Umfreville< no role > Esquire one of his Majesty's Coroners for the
said County touching the death of Ann Mc. Cue< no role >
then and there lying dead as follow

Francis Wife of Joseph Dellaway< no role > of Belton Street St. Giles Stage Door Keeper
to Daysy Lane Play house .
Upon Oath Saith That the deceaseds Father is a Taylor
in Phonix Street St. Giles That on Wednesday the
Seventeenth instant she was at his House and his
Wife having Lighted a Fire in the Two pair of Stairs
Room. with some Shavings and went out to get some
Tea and Sugar leaving the deceased who was 4 Years Old and another
Child younger in the Room Shortly Afterwards
Mrs. Mc. Cue Returned House went up Stairs and
Screamed out for Assistance Deponent immediately
Ran up Stairs Saw the Child ye deceased standing
in the Middle of the Room its Cloaths in a blaze.
and Mrs. Mc. Cue tearing them off its Body to
save the Child. the deceased was then taken
to an Apothecarys and he recommended it to be
sent. to The Middlesex Hospital where it was
immediately taken and died in about five
Minutes afterwards [mark]
