Middlesex

At the House of Robert Harness known by the sign
of the Mitre in the Parish of Saint Mary Islington
the 27th. day of March 1786 on view of the Body
of Elizabeth Smith< no role > then and there lying dead
John Starr< no role > Saith That he belongs to the Post Office
That the Deceased is Daughter of Informants Wife
by a former HusbandThat Informant and
his Wife Live at Hoxton And the Deceased Lived
with ThemThat She is just Turned Twelve
Years of AgeThat She hath been at School
in differrent Parts of the City But always Lived
at Home with InformantThat She hath
been gone from Informants Habitation five
Weeks last SaturdayThat She hath Eloped
from Informants five times in the whole
Believes three times within the last Twelve
MonthsThat Informant Beat her twice
on that Account but did not the last time
And Saith That his Wife never Corrected her
That his Wife hath other Children older than
the Deceased But none of Them Lived at Home
with InformantThat before the Deceased
went away five weeks age She had not the least
Provocation for going either from Informant
or his WifeThat She was a very untoward
Girl And at the other times of Elopement staid out
Sometimes a day or two But afterwards he found [..] at a Friends.Saith That he did not
Advertize her But that he and his Wife
expected she had got into a bad house
