Informations of Witnesses taken at the dwelling house of
Henry Matthews< no role > the Sign of Marquis of Granby
in the Parish of St Andrew Holborn in the County of Middlesex on
Thursday the Ninthday of March 1786 Before
Edward Umfreville< no role > Esquire one of his Majestys Coroners for the said
County touching the death of John Heard< no role >
then and there lying dead as follow

Samuel Stratan< no role > Coachman to Mr Dimond
Apothecary in Holborn upon his Oath Saith That
on Tuesday Evening last he was in the Tap Room of the
said Henry Matthew< no role > 's House when the deceased came
into the Room and Violed same bacon and being l [..] ef upon the Fine
and having cat some was seized on a Sudden with a
sort of Cough and fell on his saw Deponent assisted
with same other persons in taking time up and
shortly afterwards he was taken to the Workhouse
by Some of the people belonging tail and knows nothing
further.

in Grays Inn Lane upon her Oath Saith That on
Tuesday Evening last about Eight o Clock the deceased
was brought into the Workhouse , and as he appeared
quite Insensible Deponent Supposed he was in a fie
caused by having drank an inno [..] drate Quantity
