To Wit.

An Inquisition indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at The Parish of Islington
in the County of Middlesex , the Twenty Eighth Day of June in the 22nd. Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the third , by the Grace of God of Great Britain, France and Ireland, KING, Defender of
the Faith, Etc. before Edward Umfreville< no role > one of the Coroners of Our said Lord
the KING, for the said County, on view of the body of William Thomas< no role >
then and there lying dead, upon the oath of James Hawes< no role > , John
Leco, John Richardson< no role > , John Lee< no role > , Benjamin Caseltine< no role > , Philip Wilisin< no role >
Daniel Leamara< no role > , John Richards< no role > , Richard Hughes< no role > , Benjamin Williams< no role >
John Reynolds< no role > , Habread Benwick< no role > and Edward How< no role >

good and lawful Men of the said County duly chosen as by Law required, and who being then and there duly sworn
and charged to enquire for our said Lord the KING, when, how, and by what means the said William Thomas< no role >
came to h is Death, Do upon their Oath say, That The said William, Thomas< no role >
on the Twenty sixth Day of June in the year aforesaid being riding in a certain
Cart drawn by one Horse along The Kings Highway in the Parish and County
aforesaid and a certain Stage Coach called The Highgate Stage Coach then also
passing along the said Highway It so happened That one of the said Cart Wheels
then and there accidentally casually and by Misfortune struck against One of
the Wheels of the said Coach By Means whereof the said Cart was then and there
overturned And the said William Thomas< no role > was then and there thrown thereout to and against the Ground
And then and there received [..] one Mortal Fracture in and upon the Scull of him
the said William Thomas< no role > of which said Mortal Fracture he the said William
Thomas then and there died And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid Do
say That the said William Thomas< no role > in Manner and by the Means aforesaid accidentally
casually and by Misfortune Came to his Death
In Witness whereof, as well [..] the said Coroner, as the said James Hawes< no role > the Foreman of
the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his Fellows, in their presence, have to this Inquisition set their
Hands and Seals the Day and Year first abovementioned
