Depositions of a Witnesses taken at London that
is to say at the Parish of Saint Bartholomew the
Less in the Ward of Farringdon without in London
aforesaid this 18th. day of June 1799 on view of
the body of Sarah< no role > late Wife of George Lewis< no role >
now here lying dead.

Edward Tring< no role > a Hairdresser and lodger at No.28 Playhouse
Yard Whitecross in the County of Middx maketh Oath that he rents
the ground floor of the said House that the deced also lodged in the same house
that about one oClock on Sunday Morning last Dept. being in his Appartmentupat work
heard something fall heavy on the pavement on side his Shelter Window
Dept. went out and saw a person lying on the pavement Dept. got a light
and then found it to be the decedDept got assistance and took the
deced into the House and up to her appartment two pair of Stairs from
Room and layed her on her body that blood came from her right saw
on which she had a large cut or Woundthat the backshe was quite
insensibleDept. left her there in core of her relations and went to BedDept understood
the deced was taken to Mr. Bartholomew Hospital about an hour after
where she died a little while afterDept says he has known the deced
about six yearsthat she was an aged Womanthat the deced has been ill
near six Months past and complained very much of a violent Head
AcheDept says that from theE. T conduct and behaviour of the
deced these two or three Weeks past he really thought her to be
disordered in her Brain and that she was insane

Mary Lewis< no role > Spinster Daughter of the deced maketh Oath that her
Father Brother the deced and herself slept in the same Roomlegallsome
time past that her Mother [..] went to bed about ½ past 12
on Saturday Night last that she appeared very unwell and fatigued
that she has been ill and sickly three years past that she was very
much afflicted with shortness of breath and has complained several
Months past of a violent Head Ach and pain in her Headthat Dept
Father andMotherBrother went to Bed soon after her Mother as abovementioned and Dept having in
asked her Mother if she was comfortable who answered yes Dept lay
down at the foot of the Bed her Father and Brother slept in being near
to her Mother who slept in a Bed by hereof that Dept had not been
long asleep when happening to awake she looked to her Mother Bed and
sniping her Mother she immediately got up and going towards the
Window found the sark up Dept took out of the Window and same
