belonging to the Brig called the
Deacon belonging to London and whereof Middlemore Anthony< no role >
is Master bound to Hull now lying at the Custom house Quay
maketh oath that he hath known the deced

about four
years that he was a Mariner
belonging to the said Vessel-That about
½ past ten on Saturday Night last Dept. went on board the said
Vessel and went to Bed that the deceased was then in his Bed
in about ten Minutes the deced got out of Bed Dept. asked him where
he was going the deced sayed on Deck to make water the deced then
went on Deck with only his Shirt and Red Waiscoat under it on
That [..] in abut six or seven Minutes the
Watchman
on the Quay nailed Depts. Vessel Dept. went up on
Deck when the Watchman sayed a Man was over board and
fallen between the two Vessels (Depts. vessel and one next to her)
Dept. and some other men endeavoured to find the deced but without
effect. Dept. saw the deced taken out of the water a little after four
in the Morning of sunday last.
