Informations of a witnesses taken at His
Majestys Gaol of Newgate this twenty third
day of August 1796 on view of the body of
Robert Hughes< no role > now here lying dead.

James Pitt< no role > a prisoner in his Majestys Gaol of
Newgate maketh oath and saith that he hath
Known the deceased Robert Hughes< no role > about fifteen
days that he was a pensioner committed for
Trial for a felony that he has been in the sick
Ward for the last fifteenth day ill of a fever that he
was regularly attended by five Gentleman of the
faculty & has no doubt but the aforesaid
disorder occasioned his deaththat he died about
one of the Clock this Morning.-
