Information of Witnesses taken at the
parish of St. Stephen Coleman Street
in the Ward of Coleman St. in London
the 30th. March 1795 on view of the
body of Ann Shell there lying dead

Susannah Bean< no role > a Gallery Paid at Bethlem
Hospital London Widow maketh oath that between
seven & eight OClock last Saturday night Dept
went out leavg. the deced. & a four other Patients
up, such only as were understood to be setting well
Dept. returned near nine O'Clock, & Dept being
Informed the deced was not in had she looked for her
& after callers for her & looking about the discovered
her in a Cell room which is repairing hanging by
a Silk handkerchief one end of which was round her
Neck & the other end fastened to a bar of a Window
in the ColeDept immedl. cut her down, & made on
Alarm & Mr. Rozna the Apothecary of the Hospital
was sent for who came & let the deced bloodthe bled
much, but did not recovershe was quite dead.
says the deced had been in the Hospital as a lunatic
between five & Six Months
