Deposition of a Witness taken at the Parish
of Saint George within the Borough of
Southwark in the County of Surrey this 2nd
day of March 1795 on view of the Body
of William Watkins< no role > now here lying
Dead

William Matthey< no role > Servant to Mr. Ives Keeper of his Majesty's [..]
Gaol for the County of Survey maketh Oath that he hath known
the deced William Watkins< no role > about 7 Months that he was
a Prisoner for Debt. in the said Gaol - That he hath been
very ill for there Three months past in a Consumption that
he continued to get wone daily and for there last six Weeks
has been unable to leave his Room - that he continued to
marte away and get much worse until last Saturday night
when he departed this Life - That he was attended by the
Surgeon of the said Gaol and also by two other Surgeons during
his illness and Dept. hs no doubt the aforesaid Complaint
occasioned the deced Death.
