Deposition of Witnesses taken at
London that is to say at the Parish of
Saint Augustine< no role > in the Ward of
Farringdon within in London aforesaid
this 28th. day of November 1794 on
view of the Body of Margaret Harris< no role >
now here lying Dead

Robert Brown< no role > a Writer lodging at Mrs. Harvey
No. 1 Little Carter Lane Doctors Commons maketh Oath
that He hath known the deced between five & six Weeks
that she was a Widow that she used to Wark & Chair for
Mr. Ward who rents Apartments in the House of Mr. Nichol of No. 38 Old Chang [..] by whom Dept.
has been employed some time past that [..] the
deced was employed at Mr. Ward's on Tuesday last
in cleaning Mr. Ward's Room [..] that between seven
& eight Dept. took some Milk up to the deced That she
was then sitting in the three pair of Stairs front Room
that she was then sittingby the Fire

Ann Wife of John Tibble< no role > of No. 38 Old Chain London
maketh Oath that a little before Eleven on Tuesday Night
last on Dept. going up to her Room a three pair of stairs
Frontback Room of No. 38 she observed a great light in
the front Room opposite to Depts. Dept. put her shoulder
against the Door & burst it open that Flames of Fire
burst out of the RoomDept. immediately gave the
alarm that soon after some Engines came and about
One O'Clock the Fire was got underthat all the upper
Part of the House was burnt that the next Morning
some part of a afternoon Body was thrown out of the Window
[..] which was thought to be a part of Mrs. Harris the deced.
