maketh Oath that between eight
and nine Yesterday Morning Dept. being at Work in an unfinishedpassing by a NewHouse
unfinished atthe second House from the Corner of Bouverie Street he was called to by a little
Body who came to the Window and sayed a Man lay Dead in the
next Area Dept. went out and saw a Man lying upon his
Face on the Bottom of the Area of the Corner House Dept. called
another Man and then went down to the deced that he was
quite Dead that he appeared to have been Dead some hours that
he had a Wound or bruised on the left side of the upper part of his Head
[..] and also a Cut in his falling that the Beadle of White Friars
examined the deceds Pockets that thea WatchBeadle found a
Watch on the deced some Silver out of his Breeches Pocket and
a Handkerchief from his Coat Pocket that he was taken from
the Area to [..] White friars Watch House where he now lies
that the Area where the deced laywasis paved with Stone and
about eight feet [..] Deept

about Eleven Years that he was a Porter belonging to the Society
of Lincolns Inn
that the last time Dept. saw the deced was
between one & two O'Clock on Sunday afternoon last that he
appeared sober than that the deced was in the Habit of drinking much
in an Eveningthat Yesterday Morning between ten and eleven Dept. heard of the
deced being found [..] as described by the above Witness upon which Dept. went immediately to the
[..] the House where the deced lay and there saw him
lying Dead
