Depositions of Witnesses taken at London
that is to say, at the Parish of Saint Botolph
without Aldgate in the Ward of Portsoken
in London aforesaid this 7th. day of March
1794 on view of the Body of Mary Edmondson< no role >
now here lying Dead

Rice Powell< no role > a Taylor lodging at No. 4 Green Yard
Eastsmithfield in the County of Middx maketh Oath
that he hath known the deced Mary Edmondson between
eleven and twelve years that she was a Married Woman
about forty years of Agethat about ten O Clock last
Wednesday Night Dept met the deced at the bottom of Rose-
-mary Lane< no role > after a little conversation the deced asked Dept
to give her a Dram which Dept. agreed to that they went
into Mrs. Parisher's [..] the Windmill [..] in Rosemary Lane
that there the Dept. the deced and a Woman with a Child in
her Arms who was in Company with the deced when Dept
met her had a Glass of Gin eachthat when they had
drank in they came out of that House and came up the
Lane as far Mr. Hayses the Blue Boar when the deced
wished Dept. to go into Mr Hayses to have another Glass
the deced went in and Dept followed her the deced
wished to have some more Gin Dept. refused and sayed
he would have no more and left the deced thereshe
appeared rather in Liquor at that time-that Dept. crossed
Rosemary Lane and on the opposite side he met with one Bywater
whom he had known some time that Dept. & Bywater
went to one Allens the Queenshead King [..] Street that
there they had a quartern of Gin and while they were
drinking it the deced came in whom Dept believes had
followed him that she insisted on having a Glass of the
Gin which she had and drankthat upon quitting Allen's
the deced insisted upon Dept. and Bywater going into
the Rosemary Branch and there she called for a
quartern of Gin which they drank among them three
that BywaterDept.called for another Quartern of Gin which
they drank among them threethat the deced had a Pipe
in her Mouth smoaking at the same timethat they then
quitted the Rosemary Branch in order for the deced to
go homethat the deced leaned against the Shutters of
the House and sayed she was very illDept. and
