Informations taken at London that
is to say at the psh of Saint Dunstan in
the East in the Ward of Tower on the 10th
day of September 1793 on view of the Body
of a Man unknown now here lying dead.

William Barstow< no role > a Labourer lodging at the
House of Mr. Bagnell< no role > the half Moon Portpool Lane
Grays Inn Lane Middx maketh oath that Yesterday morng. the deced
and Dept. together with some other persons were employed
on Porter Quay in the parish of Saint Dunstan in the
East London to ship some Iron from the Warehouse
of a Mr. Gascoigne on board a [..] Lighter lying alongside
the Quay-that the deced and Dept. were employed
to carry a Bundles of Hoop Iron as it was lowered
down from the Warehouse on the Quay to the Lighter
that about nine o Clock a bundle of Hoop Iron having
been lowered down from the said Warehouse Dept.
took held on one end of it & the deced was taking hole
of the other white they were doing of which a Bundle
of Hoop Iron which had been strong and was then
lowering down from the Warehouse by means of
the Rope breaking by which it was slung fell upon
the deceds Head. Dept. went to the deced and pulled
the Bundle of Iron Hoops of the deceds Head-that he
was quite dead and his Head entirely layed opened
by force of the Iron falling on him-that he was taken
away to the Church yard as Dept. understood
