Southwark Deposition of a Witness taken at the
Parish of Saint George within the Borough of
Southwark in the County of Surrey this 11th. day
of April 1793 on view of the Body of
Robert Allen< no role > now here lying Dead

William Matthey< no role > Servant to James
Ives Keeper of His Majesty< no role > 's new Gaol for the
County of Surrey maketh Oath that he hath known
the deced Robert Allen< no role > about seven Months that
he was [..] a Prisoner in the Said Gaol that
last Sunday Week the deced Complained of a
Pain in his Head and backthat he continued to
get worse daily until Saturday last when it was
thought proper to move him into the Infirmary of
said Gaol that he took to his Bed on that day and
appeared to have a bad fever on himthat he
continued to get worse daily until Tuesday Night
last when he departed this Life that he was
attended during his illness by a Doctor Rowley
& ats by the Surgeon of the said Gaol and Dept
has no doubt the Fever occasioned the deceds
death.
