Robert Longley< no role > of old Broad Street London Apothecary
maketh oath that had Tuesday about five in the eve. Dept was
called upon to attend the deced whom he was told was in a fit. That Dept
went to him & found him in bed, & says that he had all the usual
appearances of a person in an appoplexy, he had no senses & seemed as
in a deep sleep snoring. Dept conceiving him to be in an Appoplexy, let
him blood but which did not relieve him, and dept afterwards sent him
medicines. that between nine and ten Dept saw the deced again, & Dept
then apprehended him to be in an appoplexy as he had before. That the
deced had no appearance of Sickness or consulsion. That Dept did not see
him again until after his death. Dept further says that he was present
yesterday when Mr. Blizard opened the body of the deced when a large
portion or quantity of opinion as Dept verilly believes and has no doubt of
was found in the Stomach and intestines of the deced, & the Stomach & intestines of
the deced had the appearance of having suffered great went irritation
& such as would be occasioned by the effects of opinion and Dept says
a large quantity of Opinion appeared to have been taken into the
Stomach and Intestines of the deced, sufficient to produce the death of a
person especially a person not used to take opinion in large quantity's

maketh oath that last Tuesday eve about seven Dept was called
upon to attend the deced & went to his house aten Dept found him in
bad with all the appearances of being in a appoplexy, & Dept believed
he was in an appoplexy, and as he could not swallow directed such
measures to be applied to him as are in use to restore suspended Animation
Dept saw no more of the deced until after his death when Mr. Blizard
opened the body of the deced & then Dept saw a grace quantity of Opinion
in his Stomach sufficient to produced the death of a person not used to
take Opinion in great quantity's.
