John Young< no role > of No. 4 Wine yard in the parish of Saint
John Southwark< no role > a Watchman employed Mr. Parkins
of Gun & Shot Wharf in the Parish of Saint Olave Southwark
maketh Oath that the about two O Clock Yesterday Morning
Dept. being on the Watch on the aforesaid Wharf saw a Man
whom Dept. believes to be the deced go from out of Boat on boardfrom the Wharf to
the Snow Laurel lying the Second Vessel from the said
Wharfthat he appeared very much intoxicated with
Liquorthat Dept. left the Wharf and went on board the
inside Vessel next the Wharf which lay alongside the Israel
that while Dept. continued these the Man who had got
out of the boat on board the Laurel & whom Dept. believes
to be the deced continued on the Death of Laurel a few
Minutes and appeared very much intoxicated and
were several Oaths saying he would be [..] upon by nobody
Dept. persuaded him to go below to SleepDept. then
left the Vessel and went to the Wharfafter Dept. had got to
the Wharf he saw the same Man whom Dept believes to
be the deced go afterwards to the Comparison of the same [..]
that about ten Minutes before three Depts. having gone
on board the Laurel for the purpose of keeping none Lighter
clear that lay near the Laurel & the other vessels that lay
near the Wharf and while Dept. was leaning over the
Taffle or Railway belonging to the thorn of the Laurel he
heard something fall into the Water. Dept. immediately
inquired after the Man he had seen go on board as before
stated that upon inquiry a person below on board the Laurel
sayed the deced was below. but soon after Dept. having
returned to the Wharf a Mariner belonging to the Laurel
named Trear are came to Dept. and sayed that the
[..] deced was not to be found that the Man whom they
